For working parents it is important to know that your children will be well looked after for the full working day.
Costs relating to After School Care and Holiday Care can be found on our fees page.
Breakfast Club starts at 7:30 am. Mrs Glover creates a calm start to the day as the children enjoy cereal and freshly made toast with a drink. Fresh fruit is also available when requested.
After-school care runs from 3:30 pm to 6:15 pm each day
This runs to support working parents or anyone who needs an hour of childcare when a sibling is at an After School Club.
Lower School children go into the nursery for ASC at 3.30 pm and Upper School children into the school dining room at 3.45 pm. If your child is going to an extra-curricular club after school, s/he will go straight to After School Care when it finishes.
Please email the office to book your child into After School Care by Friday the previous week although we can accommodate a late request if you need help at the last minute.
There is opportunity given to complete homework tasks, to undertake craft activities and to play outside. A cooked tea is offered at 5 pm.
A register is kept and a charge per half hour, or part thereof, added to the School fee bill retrospectively.
Holiday Care
Holiday Club has been developed to extend help parents by providing a happy time for Moorfield children through the holidays. This facility is capably and creatively led by Mrs Driver and her team, giving all children from 2 to 11 years a home-from-home experience. It is open from 8am to 4pm.
Holiday Club is available as follows:
October half term – 2 weeks
Christmas – first week
February – every day
Easter – every day (not Good Friday or Easter Monday
May half term – every day (not Bank Holiday)
Summer – first 5 weeks
A quote from one of our parents about Holiday Club:
At Moorfield, the holiday club offers choice of activities, including ambitious and engaging arts & crafts, playing with toys, making plays, playing hide & seek and football. The atmosphere is encouraging and joyful so that the children get excited about being signed up to go to holiday club. I sign up my children for the club as I’m a working mum, and need the cover. But it’s such a bonus that my children run in so happily to holiday club. Just as time at home would, Moorfield holiday club recharges their batteries with fun, play and exploration in preparation for another term. It’s the best option I’ve found for holiday cover for working mums, and I’d probably use holiday club even if I didn’t work. My children would be asking to go!
