Yesterday, Miss Wood and Mrs Minshall took on the Great North Swim in incredibly challenging conditions. Rain, wind, cold temperatures and a ridiculously choppy Lake Windermere made it more of a battle than a swim!
Despite the conditions, they showed steely Moorfield determination and crossed the finish line, all while raising money for Mind.

Bob, George, Mr Grumpy and Meatball the Sea Urchin were just a few of the sea creatures the children met this week!
Thank you to Aqualease for a very enjoyable day. We learnt so much about the creatures that live in our rockpools around our coastline and more importantly how we have to look after our beaches and seas!

Our Reception children have been learning about plastic pollution and how rubbish thrown away doesn’t simply disappear. To help spread this important message, they organised a march around Moorfield School, visiting every classroom to spread the message in a bid to help protect our planet for future generations.
