What a wonderful morning!
Today we enjoyed our first linking trip with Glen Rosa Nursing Home, coming together to create beautiful rainbow collages in celebration of World Kindness Day.
It was brilliant to see pupils and residents working side by side, sharing stories, laughter and creativity. Building intergenerational relationships like these helps foster empathy, understanding and a true sense of community.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Building upon last year's outstanding ISI report, Moorfield pupils swept the board once again in their recent 11+ Skipton entrance exams ensuring that the school's unblemished record of success continues. Boasting one of its largest cohorts in years to tackle the Ermysted’s and Skipton Girls tests, Year 6 children from the Ilkley independent school secured a boys and girls 'clean sweep' with all ten candidates successfully passing the assessment, securing their places to the prestigious grammar schools next September.
In addition to specialist subject teaching, including STEM, Moorfield children attend an 11+ preparation programme, which runs three times per week, before school during Year 5. The school also runs a separate Bradford Grammar School 11+ preparation programme. Do come and pay us a visit to find out more!

Over the past few days, all our classes — from Form 1 to Senior 6 — have had the chance to visit the Otley Science Festival!
During the sessions, the children explored questions such as: Could superpowers be possible in the future? They investigated invisibility, super strength, body armour, levitation, and even mind control, discovering what these incredible abilities do (or don’t!) have to do with real science.
