Trips & Visits
at Moorfield School
“Some lessons are best learnt in a classroom. Others begin on a woodland path, in a museum gallery, at the top of a fell or on a theatre stage. At Moorfield, children can experience it all!”
Our location means children have incredible opportunities on their doorstep.
Junior School
They might be exploring woodlands, investigating local history, meeting members of the community or discovering world-class art galleries and science centres. Every trip is carefully chosen to enrich learning and create memories.
Discovering the Local Area
Throughout the year, pupils make the most of the changing seasons, exploring Ilkley Moor and the surrounding countryside through activities such as blackberry picking, conker hunting, bluebell walks and nature trails around Ilkley Tarn.
Bringing Learning to Life
Visits are carefully planned to support our curriculum across every subject. Whether investigating science, history, geography, art or culture, pupils gain experiences that deepen their understanding and make learning memorable.

Making Memories
Whole-school theatre trips, visits to Studfold Farm, days at the seaside, Blackpool Tower Circus and adventures at Chester Zoo are all part of the Moorfield experience.
