Open to both Moorfield pupils and children from the wider community, these popular sessions are held annually, in the autumn term, and provide pupils with valuable experience of the examination process in a supportive and familiar environment. Led by experienced members of the Moorfield team, the sessions help children build confidence, refine exam techniques and gain a clearer understanding of what to expect on the day of the assessment.

The event also includes an informative Q&A session for parents and is attended by a member of Bradford Grammar School’s Senior Leadership Team, providing families with the opportunity to ask questions and gain first-hand insight into the admissions process, school life and expectations.
Moorfield School also offers dedicated preparation for entry to selective free grammar schools, with support available to both Moorfield pupils and children from the wider community. Guidance and preparation sessions begin as early as Year 4 and continue through to Year 6, ensuring pupils have ample time to develop the skills, confidence and exam techniques required for success.
Led by experienced specialist teachers with a strong understanding of selective school admissions, these sessions focus on verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, mathematics and problem-solving. Pupils benefit from structured preparation, practice assessments and individual feedback, helping them approach entrance examinations with confidence and achieve their full potential.
