About Moorfield School

At Moorfield, our small size means every child is known well. Teachers notice when a pupil is having a brilliant day, but they also notice when something isn’t quite right. Whether a child needs encouragement, reassurance or someone to listen, there is always an adult who knows them and is ready to help.
Strong relationships are one of Moorfield’s greatest strengths. Staff know pupils as individuals, and parents know they can pick up the phone, arrange a conversation or speak to a teacher at the end of the day. By working closely together, we can respond quickly when children need extra support or guidance.
Kindness and respect are part of everyday life at Moorfield. Older pupils look out for younger children, friendships develop across year groups and everyone is encouraged to treat others with consideration. These values aren’t taught through a single lesson; they’re part of the culture children experience every day.
When children feel secure, they’re more willing to join in, ask questions, have a go and make the most of every opportunity. That’s why creating a warm, supportive environment has always been such an important part of life at Moorfield.
