It is an honour to be the Head of this wonderful school.
Choosing a school is like viewing a new house. It’s got to feel right. Current parents say it was the feeling that initially attracted them to Moorfield. There’s a warmth, a sense of belonging, laughter and care. If Moorfield were a house, the pillows would be soft and the log fires burning.
About Moorfield School

However, the initial impression when home-buying has to be back up by further investigation. What is the size of the kitchen, the number of bedrooms, the way the sun filters through the windows, a beautiful garden to relax in? So too, a school needs to be more than just feeling.
Will it be right for your child? Meeting the Head and touring the school will give you a deeper insight. In classrooms are pupils engaged with their learning? Observe relationships between teachers and pupils. How does the curriculum cater for all levels of ability? Discover the benefits of outdoor learning. What about the sport, art, music and drama? Seeing is believing and a viewing visit will answer these questions as you walk round the school and see the pupils busy at work and play, chat to staff and question the Head.
All is looking promising with the new house. The next step is the survey to shed light on possible structural weaknesses as it is vital to check that the house will stand the test of time. Moorfield’s new association as proud partners within the Bradford Grammar School Foundation is evidence that the survey is complete. The long-term future is strong and secure.
A child’s education is vitally important in order to set alight a love of learning and to secure a quiet confidence in the pupils we nurture and educate. Choosing the right school is essential to that success.
Please come and see Moorfield for yourself. We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school.
