Why Moorfield?
At Moorfield every child is cared for as an individual: their triumphs and trip-ups, their laughter and tears are noticed and acted upon. As a staff, we are not afraid to sensitively intervene to sort problems out. We make it our aim to enable every girl to feel special.

No SATs
We've never subscribed to this means of testing and we're proud of the stand we have taken. This means that our teaching is richer and broader without endless repetition for revision purposes (which does not explore understanding). We spend more time on developing thinking skills and independent learning enabling girls to research and direct their own learning.

- 75 girls entered for Associated Board Music exams in 2009. Ability ranges from Grade 1 to Grade 5 Dance
- 9 girls talent-spotted by Northern Ballet Dance Theatre Company in 2009
Strength in Physical Education
- Huge success at inter-school matches
- Many opportunities for girls to play in matches across Key Stage 2
- Cross-country teams run from Reception to Year 6
