Creativity
Being creative involves going beyond the expected, having the courage to do something differently. At Moorfield girls are given ample opportunity for creativity. With our strength in the Arts they are encouraged to express themselves in music, dance, art and design, drama and poetry. Individual and group interpretation, composition and improvisation gives each individual an opportunity to make something of their own, show it to others and to have it appreciated.

Confidence
With a close correlation between self-concept and school achievement, we know how important it is for each girl to feel good about herself. We appreciate each girl as an individual: to give her space to find her strengths, to grow in self-belief and to make personal progress.
One girl may struggle with spelling but be wonderful at art; another may find mathematical concepts hard to grasp but the saxophone may make her a star. We expect our girls to do their best by supporting them while they try, encouraging them when they achieve and recognising their efforts.

At Moorfield we aim to equip all girls with the confidence to know that they are competent learners with the personal, academic, musical and sporting skills to succeed in whichever school they may go to next.

Have good manners gone out of fashion? Not at Moorfield. We hold to the traditional values of respect for one another, courtesy in greetings and actions, and consideration for another's feelings. This, in turn, gives way to a relaxed and happy family atmosphere which is evident throughout the school.
