We take these not as restricted to our vision for the pupils alone, but shared by staff, governors and the whole school community.
In close association with our core value is a financial policy of delivering identifiably excellent value in education, together with a continually monitored asset development plan. These are achieved both thorough our fees structure and the policy of maintaining a cash reserve.
Moorfield School wishes to encourage each girl to reach her full potential in all aspects of life and to develop her own individuality, whilst having respect for all others.
Our Aims
To ensure that all Moorfield Girls :-
- reach their full potential : academically, physically, morally and socially.
- are happy, self-motivated, well adjusted and confident.
- are courteous and caring, both in and out of school, having respect for themselves and all others.
- develop lively, enquiring and creative minds, encourage individual ideas and thoughts.
- develop a sound basis of education in reading and understanding; language and number.
- develop an interest in their own environment and the world around them, through Science, Geography, History, PSHE, and French.
- develop an awareness of and experience the pleasure of Art, Music and Drama.
- engage in worthwhile physical activities, in order to learn the benefits of participation, while developing artistic and aesthetic understanding through movement.
- gain an understanding of religious and moral values; a respect for themselves and other groups, races and religions.
- achieve, through hard work, commitment and self-discipline, the highest standards of which they are capable.
- develop their individuality and independence, enabling them to discover and recognise their own strengths and interest so that they may take full advantage of the education which will be offered to them at Senior School level.
